Honeywell F50F1214 Electronic Whole House Air Cleaner

Honeywell F50F1214 Electronic Whole House Air Cleaner Review

Honeywell F50F1214 Electronic Whole House Air Cleaner Feature

  • Solid state power supply is self-regulating and maintains peak efficiency during a wide range of cell dirt loading conditions; controlled by built in air control switch
  • Cabinet can support weight of residential furnace and evaporator coil. Galvanized cabinet protects against rust.
  • Requires no maintenance except periodic cell washing. Electronic cell can be washed in most home dishwashers. Permanent wash reminder schedule included for mounting in convenient location.
  • Neon light next to on-off switch tells if air cleaner is powered and if high voltage is present.
  • Duct dimensions: 16" x 25"
The difference between the F300E and F50F is in the paint scheme. The new post filters are standard equipment with the F300E and optional with the F50F. The F50F has a rugged commercial color. The Honeywell Electronic Air Cleaner: ? captures more than 94% of the particles (0.5 microns or larger) from the air that passes through it. ? traps more than 90% of fungi and ragweed pollen antigen from the air passing through it, more than 70% of bacteria and cat antigen and nearly 60% of dust mite antigen. ? outperforms consistently against competing electronic air cleaners, capturing significantly more particles in all size ranges, including capturing up to 25% more particles in the difficult-to-capture 0.3-0.5 micron size range. Over time, the inner workings of your heating and cooling equipment-heat exchanger, cooling coils, and fan blades-can become coated with an efficiency-robbing film. The Honeywell Electronic Air Cleaner, which mounts in ductwork upstream from the equipment, helps capture particles before they can accumulate on these critical parts. That could save you money. One analysis in a Honeywell lab, showed that keeping air conditioning coils cleaner could save 10 to 15% in operating costs over the lifetime of a system. 1 Metal mesh prefilter screen catches larger particles before they can enter the electronic cells. The prefilter can be rinsed off in a laundry tub or with a garden hose, or vacuumed. Check it every three months. 2 Lightweight, electronic "Super Cells" electronically charge and capture particles. They can be soaked clean in a laundry tub or washed in some dishwashers-check your dishwasher manufacturer's recommendation.
